Welcome to the Downingtown Dragons Athletic & Drinking Club . . . We aren't very formal, nor are we very organized . . . guess we're informally unorganized.  Most of our communication seems to be via our yahoo groups page. We're going to try and have a regularly scheduled D•DAD•C group run.  We'll meet the last Sunday of the month and we'll call it "The Church Of The Holy Mile" so you can tell your spouses and/or significant others that you have to go to church on that particular Sunday.  The congregants will gather at 7 AM in the parking lot of the Milltown Market (East Pennsylvania Avenue and Green Street in Downingtown) at the end near the Blue Café (across the street from the pond).  There may or may not be different lengths of services depending on who attends, but we'll reconvene over at the Blue Café for coffee and/or breakfast. Thirsty Tuesday Drinking Meetings are the second Tuesday of the month.  We'll shoot for gathering at 8:27:55 PM (in honor of Jeff's best Kona time) so that the working folks can get cleaned up after a hard day in the office.  Join us for the drinking part of our club name at our clubhouse, better known as the Victory Brewing Company at 420 Acorn Lane in Downingtown. Dragon Droppings . . . Rumor has it that there will be a large contingent of Dragons in Hibernia Park on December 8th for Alice's Run & Walk.  It's a 5k that some are gonna run, some are gonna shuffle, and some are gonna walk.  And, it's all for a good cause.  So, if you're on the fence, jump off and join in. The next meeting of The Church Of The Holy Mile will be Sunday, December 30th at 7 AM.  In honor of it being New Year's Eve Eve, we'll make it "Silly Hat Sunday."  Lampshades count, but you have to run in what you wear.  (Weather permitting since some of us are basically weenies.) The next Thirsty Tuesday will be January 8th, 2008 at 8:27:55 PM. Decaying Dragon Droppings . . . Congrats to those who did Brian's Run on December 2nd --- Mark, Jeff, Matt, Joanne, Nancy, Joel . . . anybody I'm missing?  Who was in charge of pictures?  Official race results may or may not be here. Regurgitations of past events (possibly including incriminating pictures) can be found here. Dragons & Dragonesses . . . If this adventure ever gets off the ground, pictures and/or biographies (lies, mistruths, fables, etc.) of all dues-paying Dragons could quite possibly appear in this section.  For the time being, all shall remain anonymous.
